A very nice example of a mid Victorian English pine mule chest. It is in very good order throughout and has recently been stripped of its original paint exposing a lovely bare wood, ready for waxing or painting.

There is a lift up lid with the original penny hinges, opening to plenty of storage space inside. And there are two bottom mule drawers (slipper drawers) with attractive drop handles. The wavy edged plinth gives it a nice appearance.

These flat top chests are a great alternative to coffee tables. They also work well storing shoes, as well as blankets, linen etc
